The Munro College Old Boys’ Association, MCOBA-Lindy Delapenha Golf Classic, returns next weekend at what has now become its home, the Caymanas Golf and Country Club in St. Catherine.
The tournament, which is put on by the Munro College Old Boys Association, is their major fundraising event at the school.
Tournament Manager, Telroy Morgan, says the annual event celebrates the life and legacy of one of Jamaica’s most prolific schoolboys and sportsmen extraordinaire, Lindy Delapenha.
Morgan says it also affords them the opportunity to raise funds to support the educational, sports, and infrastructural development and advancement of Munro College.
The event will tee off on July 15 with a “ShotGun Start.
This means that all golfers will start at the same time, placed on all 18 tee-boxes across the golf course.
The event will be in the 7/8 handicap stableford format.
For the 2022 edition, the Overall Champion was Diane Hudson, who was the first female winner. Unfortunately, Hudson will not be available to defend her title.
